Enrollment Procedures Our Art Enrichment Program specializes in enhancing a child’s well-being through art. Children will be exposed to positive art experiences with the intent to increase their self-esteem, generate confidence, and perhaps give them an outlet for self expression. Also our small group setting may aid the development of art skills your child may use towards an art career in the future. We accept children 5 years of age until they become old enough to leave the program (usually by the age of 12). To enroll your child at The Sippy Cup Place, a scheduled tour and interview of the child is necessary. Interviews are conducted Monday through Friday after 5:30 PM. Bringing your child to the interview is required since we will be talking to the child about his/hers art interest. Since we are an art based program we strongly recommend for you to bring along your child’s previous artwork you might have around the house or even on your refrigerator. It doesn’t have to be a master piece; we just simply would like to ensure your child does enjoy arts and crafts. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions or concerns that you may have. We will discuss the enrollment process and provide you with information about our program.
After the interview you will be asked to fill out the registration form. Following the interview process TSCP will be contacting you within tree business days to let you know if your child was accepted in the program. If your child was accepted in the program we will ask at that time for tuition in order for your child to be considered officially enrolled as a club member. You will also receive our cell phone numbers, the program schedule and a “Parent’s Handbook”.
Decisions of acceptance to the program are not made based on race or color, religion, sex, national origin, nor handicap. Our decisions are solely made based on the child genuine interest in art and his/her disposition during the interview process. We look forward in meeting you and your child. Perhaps we can develop a great relationship for years to come.
Art program Schedule September through June 2011-2012 Please take a moment to review the art schedule. Although this is a genetic information it will give you an idea of what you expect your child to be doing throughout the school year. Each month you will receive a detailed information regarding their art projects and the outings. We will use this schedule as a road map for school closing dates, our art courses and art enrichment outings.
